Pearl sago - 1 cup
Water - 2 1/2 cups
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Rose syrup - 3 tbsp
Wash and drain sago . Boil water, when water starts to boil add sago. Stir continuously. When sago is half cooked, add rose syrup and sugar. Stir continuously so that lump don't form. When sago is cooked and thick, transfer it to a plate. Using a steamer, steam this for 10 minutes. Once cooled, keep in fridge overnight. Remove from fridge and cut into desired shapes. Coat with grated coconut over the sago cake.
Note: Check the variety of sago. Some variety of sago needs soaking before being cooked.
